Behind the Scenes

For the shooting of Unsuitable, Mike, Rizzotti, Zorn, and I all arrived at Robby's house and started rummaging through his closet for clothing that Zorn could wear in his role as "Frank".  We spent some time looking for ties as well and finally we had everything we needed -- everything except a script.  By the time we had finished putting together dialogue for Unsuitable, it was dark out (hence the continuity issue between the opening shot and the lighting in the "office building") and just before filming got underway, Robby, Chris, Burger, and Drew showed up, so we had a little extra help and a little extra noise.

All of the lightbulbs in the lamps we used to light the scene kept burning out. They must have been at the end of their life expectancey as every time we moved a lamp and set it down the lightbulb would go out -- the slightest bump and we'd lose another 60watts. In total, 5 bulbs were lost during the making of this film.

As for the ending scene, Zorn wasn't supposed to be wearing jeans under his suit pants. When Travis filmed the final shot of zorn undoing his pants everyone was laughing at Zorn for having his jeans on underneith. We didn't bother to reshoot it for some reason (everyone blames Travis).

Somewhat interesting fact: the cups used in the film actually had coffee in them along with milk that was two weeks past expired. Also, a scene about 30 seconds long was cut for continuity.

Crew Comments
"I love the black kids on the coffee mug Travis was drinking from. I also like Zorn's tie." -Rizzotti
"I thought it was Zorn's best performance." -Peter
"Though I didn't like the concept when Travis pitched it to me, I love the final movie." -Zorn
"I'm really suprised this film actually got made. My original concept wasn't that funny and a lot of the close-ups could have been framed better, but I do love the graphic I made for it." -Travis
