Behind the Scenes

The day this film was made not only marks the first Naked Castle production, but the birth of Naked Castle Films itself (at that time known as "Thumbs Up For Peace Productions"). Mike, Rizzotti, Sean, Travis, and various others were at a LAN party at Robby's house. Sean and Mike were pretending they were going to douse each others monitor in soda. Later that day, after Mike and Travis had the inspiration to make a short film, Mike suggested a concept of "some guy throwing water on someone's TV".

They drove to Travis' house, took his mother's 8mm camera and went back to Robby's but by the time they were ready to film, Mike had to leave. Rizzotti stepped in to fill Mike's role and Robby took up the camera to begin the filming.

Three takes were needed for the scene where Travis douses Rizzotti in the face since Travis managed to miss at point blank twice.  He sure has some kinda aim! Travis also nearly pulled a leg muscle on the original shot of the TV being doused when he stuck his leg out behind him as he thrust the cup forward.

The TV that gets splashed was actually a broken TV that looked similar to the one in all the other shots in which Rizzotti is watching The Lord of The Rings.

Crew Comments

"I'm not happy with the ending and if I could, I'd go back and re-shoot it with a better line than "Wait a second, I forgot something!" and that annoying maniacal laugh. But don't get me wrong, this is still a classic." -Travis
